"Clearing the Air" seminars

Colt is hosting a series of free technical seminars examining current and future trends in smoke control:

April 2, RIBA Building, London

April 8, The Lowry, Manchester

April 9, Austin Court, Birmingham

Experts from Colt, Hoare Lea Fire and Tenos Fire Safety Engineering will discuss many aspects of this subject, covering the wide range of its different applications, from tall buildings to residential projects, and car parks. They will also be covering recent and proposed changes in legislation and standards.

Example projects to be reviewed include Pan Peninsula, the tallest residential project in Europe, which is currently under construction in London's Docklands, and the Paradise Street car park in Liverpool, which involved a complex fire strategy for one of the largest underground car parks in Europe.

Each seminar will commence with a buffet lunch available from 12.00pm and the presentations will commence at 1.30pm. The formal presentations will finish by 5.00pm, with a drinks reception following on afterwards.

In addition, there will be an exhibition area and video footage showing recent smoke tests that have been carried out by Colt.
